He started his career in 2007. Over the years, he worked as a judo coach, a teaching coach at the branch of the Sports Committee of the Central Sports Club, a bench shooting coach at Youth Sports School No. 9 and the handball club of the Astana Department of Tourism, Physical Culture and Sports.

Later, he was the deputy director of the Zhetysu-Sunkar professional football club of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Almaty region. He also held the positions of director of the Kapshagai Regional Children's and Youth sports school and head of the regional School of Higher Sports Excellence of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Almaty region.

Prior to his appointment, he headed the Training Center for the Olympic Reserves of the Almaty region.

He has a higher specialized education – he graduated from the Kazakh Academy of Sports and Tourism with a degree in physical culture and Sports, and also received a master's degree in pedagogical Sciences with a degree in physical culture and Sports.
