The Department of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology for the Akmola Region of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan has held the "QazGaz Corporation" LLP gas filling station administratively liable. The reason for the unscheduled visit by state inspectors was official appeals from citizens who doubted the accuracy of the volumes of automotive fuel being dispensed.

The inspection revealed that one of the units for refueling vehicles with liquefied gas was operating with gross violations. Specifically, the mentioned equipment was not listed in the register of the state system for ensuring measurement uniformity of the Republic of Kazakhstan and was used without undergoing mandatory metrological verification. This fact constitutes a direct violation of the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Ensuring Measurement Uniformity," casting justified doubt on the accuracy of the fuel volume dispensed to consumers.

Regarding the identified offense, administrative enforcement measures have been taken against "QazGaz Corporation" LLP. In accordance with Article 419 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Administrative Offenses, an administrative fine of 497,375 tenge was imposed in a simplified procedure. Furthermore, a mandatory order for rectification was issued, prohibiting the operation of the unit that had not undergone metrological verification.

To date, the order has been fully complied with; the enterprise has conducted the necessary metrological procedures, and the equipment is officially approved for operation.

The Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan reminds: when facts of "underfilling" are detected or suspicions arise regarding the malfunction of measuring instruments (scales, dispensers, meters), citizens can send an official appeal to the territorial department. Each such application serves as a legal basis for conducting an unscheduled inspection and suppressing violations.
