Gujrat, 15 May 2026 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Yerzhan Kistafin, paid a working visit to one of the country’s major industrial centers, the city of Gujrat, where he held talks with the leadership and members of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), and also visited a number of enterprises engaged in the production of construction materials and furniture.

During the meeting at the CCI, the Ambassador briefed participants on the outcomes of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, H.E. Mr. K.Tokayev, to Pakistan in February of the current year. He informed them about ongoing efforts to foster a favorable business climate aimed at further strengthening trade, economic ties, and investment partnership between Kazakhstan and Pakistan. Mr. Y.Kistafin also highlighted issues related to the development of transport and logistics corridors and cooperation in the banking sector.

For their part, the leadership of the CCI highly appreciated the positive dynamics of bilateral relations, particularly emphasizing the growing business ties in recent years between entrepreneurs of Gujrat and Kazakh business circles.

The Chamber expressed its intention to send another delegation to Kazakhstan to further expand mutual trade and explore investment opportunities.
