Open Day on Anti-Corruption Issues Held at the Department of State Revenues for East Kazakhstan Region

On May 15, 2026, the Department of State Revenues for the East Kazakhstan Region hosted an Open Day event on the topic “Absolute Intolerance to Corruption,” attended by 7th-grade students of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Ust-Kamenogorsk, 4th-year students of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, and representatives of the media.
Opening the event, Deputy Head of the Department Kazybek Koishinov emphasized the important role of the state revenue authorities in ensuring economic stability and improving the welfare of the country. It was noted that tax revenues are used to build schools, hospitals, and other socially significant facilities, implement state programs, and develop infrastructure. The speaker also invited future specialists to connect their professional careers with the state revenue authorities.
During the meeting, participants were informed about the activities of the state revenue authorities, received explanations on current issues of tax and customs administration, as well as measures aimed at preventing and combating corruption.
The speakers included Gulzhanat Berkutova, Head of the Cameral Monitoring Department; Bolatbek Zhamanbayev, Head of the Customs Control After Release of Goods Department; and Meir Kuntuganov, Chief Specialist of the Human Resources Department.
As part of the “Adal Azamat” program, participants were shown thematic video materials aimed at improving tax literacy and fostering an anti-corruption culture.
The guests also visited the Department’s museum, where they learned about the history and development of the region’s state revenue authorities.
