Starting January 1, 2026, a new criterion for monitoring mobile money transfers will be introduced.

📌 What’s changing?

Previously, only the number of transfers was considered—100 or more from different individuals over 3 consecutive months.

Now, another condition is being added:

👉 the total amount of these transfers over the same 3-month period must exceed 12 minimum wages (MW).

📌 When does a transaction indicate business activity?

If, for each of 3 consecutive months, your personal account (not a business account):

• received transfers from 100 different people, and
• the total amount exceeded 12 minimum wages (MW),

then such transactions will be considered to indicate business income.
