🚌 Aktobe’s Public Transport Fleet to Be Expanded with 141 New Buses

At a regional executive meeting chaired by Akim of Aktobe Region Askhat Shakharov, issues related to the development of public transportation and the improvement of passenger service quality were discussed.

Currently, 66 bus routes operate across the region, including urban, district, interregional, and international routes. In Aktobe city, 355 buses serve passengers daily.

Over the past three years, the city’s fleet has been renewed with 242 new buses, bringing the fleet renewal rate to 85%. In 2026, an additional 141 buses are planned for purchase, of which 93 have already been acquired and put into operation. The new vehicles include the region’s first 45 electric buses.

The regional head also addressed residents’ complaints regarding public transport services and instructed the relevant authorities to ensure adherence to schedules, improve service quality, maintain uninterrupted GPS operation, and respond promptly to citizens’ requests and concerns.
