Astana, June 12, 2026 – The KazAID office hosted a working meeting between the Acting Chairman of the Board, J.Asanov and Yoshiyuki Shiomi, the FSD Group Programme Manager for Central Asia.

During the meeting, the FSD representative presented the foundation's current projects in the region, including humanitarian demining, mine safety education in Tajikistan, and the partnership with the OSCE on training EOD/IEDD specialists. The leadership of KazAID provided information about its activities in Central Asia and Afghanistan.

The parties discussed promising areas of cooperation, such as joint humanitarian and regional initiatives, as well as government capacity building.
