Welcoming the guest, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that his visit builds on the agreements reached in Washington, D.C., and represents an important step toward deepening the multifaceted partnership between Kazakhstan and the United States.

President Tokayev emphasized that cooperation between the United States, Kazakhstan, and the broader Central Asian region has gained considerable momentum under the administration of President Donald Trump.

- We fully support the bold vision and pragmatic approach to diplomacy demonstrated by the President of the United States. Kazakhstan is playing an active role in advancing key U.S. initiatives, including the Abraham Accords, the Board of Peace, the TRIPP initiative, and other projects. Taken together, these efforts have given new momentum to our Enhanced Strategic Partnership, which is stronger today than ever before. Your visit comes at a time of profound political and economic transformation in Kazakhstan. These reforms are aimed at transitioning our country from a resource-dependent model to a diversified, knowledge-based economy. The investment priorities of your Corporation closely align with Kazakhstan’s development agenda, and we are ready for practical and mutually beneficial cooperation, - President Tokayev stated.

For his part, Ben Black thanked the President for the warm welcome and highlighted the productive and substantive meetings he had held with members of Kazakhstan’s business community in Almaty.

President Tokayev underscored the importance of those meetings in the context of strengthening bilateral relations, placing particular emphasis on the need to translate the agreements reached into concrete action. The Head of State reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s readiness to move forward with the practical implementation of joint investment projects.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in critical minerals, transport connectivity, agribusiness, digitalization, and artificial intelligence. They also reviewed the possibility of establishing a permanent office of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation in Kazakhstan.
