Servicemen of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a patriotic event to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Kazakhstan’s boxing legend, Gennadiy Golovkin. As a tribute to the renowned athlete’s accomplishments, National Guard troops formed the symbolic inscription “GGG” on the parade ground — a brand recognized worldwide as the sporting identity of the Kazakh champion.

The event was dedicated to the historic occasion of Gennadiy Golovkin’s induction into the International Boxing Hall of Fame (IBHOF) in Canastota, New York, USA. He became the first representative of Kazakhstan to receive this prestigious honor.

The ceremony was further enhanced by a performance from the Exemplary Band of the National Guard. Military musicians played the famous song Seven Nation Army, traditionally used by Golovkin as his walkout music before his boxing matches.

Servicemen of the Honor Guard Company demonstrated a high level of drill proficiency and coordination, becoming the central participants in the impressive patriotic event.

“Through his hard work, skill, and remarkable victories, Gennadiy Golovkin has brought international recognition to Kazakhstan. His name has become a symbol of sporting excellence and national pride. For the younger generation, he is a vivid example of how dedication and perseverance can lead to worldwide success,” said Private Marlen Suramayev, one of the participants in the event.

Golovkin was inducted into the Hall of Fame on his first ballot, an achievement regarded as a special distinction in professional boxing. His name now stands alongside legendary fighters such as Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, Floyd Mayweather, and Manny Pacquiao.

Throughout his career, Gennadiy Golovkin achieved outstanding results in both amateur and professional boxing. At the amateur level, he recorded 345 victories in 350 bouts, spending many years as one of the leaders of Kazakhstan’s national team and proudly representing the country at major international competitions.

The patriotic event organized by the National Guard symbolized respect for the achievements of Kazakhstan’s athletes and recognition of their contribution to strengthening the country’s international reputation.
