On non-tariff regulatory measures for certain types of weapons

The Department of State Revenue for the West Kazakhstan Region draws the attention of participants in foreign economic activity to the need to comply with prohibitions and restrictions on the movement of goods across the customs border of the Eurasian Economic Union.
In accordance with Article 8 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Customs Regulation in the Republic of Kazakhstan", goods are transported across the customs border in compliance with prohibitions and restrictions. According to the Decision of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission dated April 21, 2015 No. 30 "On non-tariff regulation measures", the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union has banned the import and/or export of certain categories of goods provided for in Annex No. 1 to the said Decision. In particular, section 1.6 of Appendix No. 1 to the Decision of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission dated April 21, 2015 No. 30 prohibits the import and (or) export of flippers, brass knuckles, shurikens, boomerangs, as well as other objects specially adapted for use as weapons of impact-crushing, throwing and piercing-cutting action, including certain types of cold-bladed weapons and knives.
Participants in foreign economic activity must comply with the established prohibitions and restrictions when moving goods of the category in question across the customs border of the Eurasian Economic Union.
