Islamabad, July 2, 2026 – The Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Y.Kistafin, received the President of the Pakistan Boxing Federation, Mr. Ijaz Tung.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the outcomes of seminars and master classes conducted by Kazakh specialists for Pakistani boxers and coaches, as well as prospects for further development of bilateral cooperation.

Mr. Tung highly commended the events held by the Kazakhstan side, expressed his gratitude for the support provided, and conveyed his strong interest in further strengthening contacts and cooperation between the boxing federations of Kazakhstan and Pakistan.

In response to the invitation extended by the Kazakh side, the President of the Pakistan Boxing Federation announced his intention to dispatch a delegation to Kazakhstan to participate in training camps and preparatory activities.

For his part, Ambassador Y.Kistafin expressed satisfaction with the plans discussed and reaffirmed Kazakhstan's readiness to provide comprehensive support for strengthening ties and expanding cooperation with the Pakistan Boxing Federation.

In addition, the parties agreed to organize the National Boxing Championship of Pakistan at the Sports Centre Dostyq.
