In recent years, Astana has become one of the most attractive destinations for tourists. Visitors to the capital can explore modern museums, international exhibitions, and unique cultural venues.

In the first quarter of 2026, Astana welcomed 352,200 tourists, a 12% increase compared to the same period last year. Of these, 67,900 were international visitors. By the end of 2025, the total number of tourists visiting the capital had reached 1.6 million.

According to Maksat Zhanabayev, Deputy Head of Astana’s Investment and Entrepreneurship Development Department, the capital is actively developing both business and medical tourism.

"Today, more and more visitors are coming to Astana to attend international forums and exhibitions, concerts and festivals, as well as to receive medical services. Our goal is to create a comfortable and modern tourism infrastructure. The city currently offers more than 100 tourist attractions, and in the coming years new hotels and recreational areas will be opened," said Maksat Zhanabayev.
