On July 11, the official opening ceremony of the 37th Summer Spartakiad of Beimbet Mailin District, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the district and the 80th anniversary of the village of Mayskoye, took place at the Mayskoye Village Stadium.

Sports delegations from the rural districts and the settlement of Tobol took part in the ceremonial parade. The Akim (Governor) of Beimbet Mailin District, Kaisar Myrzhakupov, officially declared the Spartakiad open and congratulated all participants on the start of the competitions.

During the ceremony, veterans of sport and individuals who have made a significant contribution to the development of physical culture and sports in the district were honored with awards. The festive atmosphere was enhanced by the ceremonial raising of the Spartakiad flag, the torch relay featuring the district’s sporting families, the lighting of the Spartakiad flame, and vibrant performances by the creative groups of the District House of Culture.

The 37th Summer Spartakiad brought together more than 200 athletes, who competed to determine the strongest in eleven sports disciplines. More than just a sporting event, the Spartakiad is a celebration of friendship, unity, a healthy lifestyle, and love for one’s native land.
