In Institution No. 28, an essay contest was held among convicts on the topic "Sottalushynn kozim bostandyk, tendik, kadir-kasiyet" ("Freedom, equality and dignity through the eyes of a convict"), dedicated to the International Day of Nelson Mandela.

Participants were invited to express in their works a personal understanding of values such as freedom, equality, human dignity, responsibility for their actions and the desire for correction. In their essays, the convicts shared their thoughts on life experiences, the importance of following the law, and the need for positive change.

According to Mirzhan Mendigaliev, head of the educational department of Institution No. 28, holding such events contributes to the development of the creative potential of convicts, the formation of moral values, legal culture and motivation for a law-abiding lifestyle. The best competitive works were awarded by the administration of the institution.
