Starting from 2026, mandatory changes aimed at automating fiscal accounting have been introduced to the content of cash register machine (CRM) receipts. A CRM receipt must include:

• the name of the product, work, or service in strict accordance with the Product Code Nomenclature (PCN);
• the product identification code under the PCN;
• digital identification means applied to goods subject to mandatory labeling.

Entrepreneurs are no longer required to enter product names manually. When using a CRM, it will be sufficient to scan the product barcode. All product names have already been entered into the State Product Code Nomenclature Database and are automatically retrieved through the services of fiscal data operators (FDOs).

The State Revenue Department for Almaty recommends checking cash register equipment in advance and, where necessary, updating the software through CRM suppliers or fiscal data operators.

Issuing a receipt that does not comply with the approved requirements entails administrative liability.
