As of July 2026, annual inflation had fallen to 10.2%, while monthly price growth was 0.6%, lower than in July of the previous two years (0.7% in July 2025 and 2024).
The slowdown in inflation is being facilitated by the implementation of a set of measures by the Government, the National Bank, and the Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market aimed at curbing price dynamics, ensuring macroeconomic stability, and improving the well-being of the population.
The main contributor to the slowdown in inflation continues to be the slowdown in food prices. As of July, annual food inflation slowed to 10.1%, while price growth for socially important food products was only 2.4%, 7 percentage points lower than a year ago (9.4%). This result was achieved through a set of measures, including expanding the list of socially significant food products from 19 to 31, constantly monitoring compliance with the maximum 15% trade markup, identifying and reducing unproductive intermediaries, saturating the domestic market with domestic products, and ensuring the affordability of food products.
At the same time, overall inflation has continued to slow, despite the impact of factors related to the consistent liberalization of the fuel and lubricants market and the end of the moratorium on tariff increases for regulated utilities. These factors continue to exert pressure primarily on the cost of non-food products, with annual price growth of 11.7% in July.
