The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan has for the first time approved the Concept for the Development of Internal State Audit until 2030 — a strategic document defining a new stage in the development of the internal state audit system.

The adoption of the Concept is an important stage in the development of public administration and marks the transition to a modern model of internal state audit based on risk prevention, a risk-oriented approach, digital technologies, and data analytics.

For the first time, the development of the internal state audit system is united by a single strategic vision defining the priorities for its improvement until 2030.

The Concept is aimed at increasing the efficiency of public finance utilization, the quality of public administration, and the transparency of budget processes.

As noted by the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan MADI TAKIEV, the development of internal state audit today requires not only control but also the creation of mechanisms that allow for the timely identification of risks and proactive management decision-making:

«The future of state audit lies in technology, quality data, and the prevention of violations. Our task is to ensure the efficient use of public resources and increase public trust in the financial management system».

The implementation of the Concept will allow for the formation of a modern internal state audit system that aligns with the best international approaches and meets the sustainable development goals of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan is becoming one of the first countries in the region to formulate a long-term strategy for the development of internal state audit with an emphasis on digitalization.
