As part of efforts to strengthen international cooperation in tourism, the Mangystau Region Tourism Department organized a familiarization tour for 12 leading tour operators from Azerbaijan.

The opening ceremony was held in Aktau and attended by Deputy Akim of the Mangystau Region, Abbat Urisbayev, who welcomed the participants.

“Mangystau is a land of ancient history, unique natural landscapes, and sacred heritage sites. We are delighted to welcome our Azerbaijani partners and believe that our cooperation in tourism will become a strong bridge between our two countries,” he said.

The primary objective of the visit is to establish business partnerships and promote the Mangystau Region as a unique travel destination.

As part of the program, Azerbaijani and Aktau-based tour operators held B2B meetings to discuss opportunities for developing joint travel packages, exchange insights into current tourist preferences, and share industry experience.

During the four-day familiarization tour, participants will visit some of Mangystau's most iconic attractions, including Bozzhyra, Kyzylkup, Sherkala, Airakty, Zhygylgan, Shakpak Ata, Torysh, and the Kögez Ethno Village.

The visit is expected to result in the development of new tourism routes, increased visitor flows from Azerbaijan to Kazakhstan, and expanded cultural and business cooperation between the two countries.
