Today, a large-scale commemorative event was held to mark the 333rd anniversary of Tylak Matyuly, a renowned Kazakh military commander who became famous for his courage in the struggle against the Dzungar invaders.
The opening ceremony of the event dedicated to honoring the memory of the batyr, whose name holds a special place in the history of our country, took place in front of the “Rukhaniyat” Center in the sacred land of Karmakshy.
Organized on the instruction of the district Akim, the event featured a theatrical performance highlighting Tylak Batyr’s heroic deeds in the struggle for the freedom of his homeland and people, as well as the example and legacy he left for future generations.
Deputy Akim of the district Dias Moldabayev delivered a congratulatory speech at the event:
“Tylak Batyr’s life journey is an example of love for the Motherland and devotion to protecting one’s native land for today’s generation. The Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev, also attaches particular importance to honoring our historical figures and promoting our cultural heritage. I believe that holding today’s event in Karmakshy for the first time is also of great significance. The courage of our ancestors is our spiritual foundation. We must remain faithful to their legacy, preserve national unity and further enhance the reputation of our sacred Karmakshy. May our sacred Karmakshy continue to prosper! May our country remain peaceful and our people live in harmony,” he said, expressing his gratitude to all those who contributed to organizing the event.
As part of the event, special medals and Certificates of Appreciation from the district Akim were presented to a number of citizens in recognition of their contribution to honoring the name and legacy of the batyr.
In addition, Karsyga Yesdauletov, Honorary Citizen of the district and veteran of the construction industry, as well as several representatives of the intellectual community, shared their views and expressed their best wishes.
The event, bringing together history and cultural heritage, was enriched by traditional zhyr-terme performances by zhyrshy and zhyrau. District performers also presented patriotic songs, creating an uplifting atmosphere for those in attendance.
Following the opening ceremony, the event continued in the conference hall of the “Rukhaniyat” Center with a historical and educational conference dedicated to the life and heroic deeds of the batyr.
It should be noted that Tylak Matyuly was a historical figure of the 18th century who demonstrated exceptional courage during the national liberation struggle against the Dzungar invasions. He was a renowned commander of the troops of the Junior Zhuz and a trusted ally, adviser and counselor to Khan Abulkhair. He was also one of the military commanders who made a significant contribution to the victories of the Kazakh forces at the Battles of Bulanty and Anyrakay, as well as during the Ordabasy Congress.
