Kazakh-Serbian economic cooperation discussed in Belgrade

Belgrade, 3 September 2026 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan Bolat Imanbaev met with Nenad Popović, Minister for International Economic Cooperation of the Republic of Serbia.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the progress made in implementing the agreements reached following the Head of State’s official visit to Serbia (18–19 November 2024) and Serbian President A. Vučić’s visit to Astana (26–27 February 2026).

Minister Popović congratulated Kazakh leadership on the successful conduct of the Kurultai elections and emphasised the Serbian side’s firm commitment to implementing all the agreements reached at the highest level, highlighting in particular the prospects for cooperation in the fields of transport, construction, artificial intelligence, digitalisation and education.

The Ambassador noted Kazakhstan’s interest in strengthening a mutually beneficial partnership in the fields of agriculture, energy, tourism and healthcare.

Following the meeting, the parties exchanged specific plans for the coming period, aimed at giving further impetus to the development of Kazakh-Serbian relations.
