Launch of Regional Forums: Kokshetau Hosts Discussion on Cyber Culture and Information Security

On September 4, 2026, the Abay Myrzakhmetov University in Kokshetau hosted a large-scale forum-seminar dedicated to cyber culture, information security, and personal data protection as part of the nationwide Cyber Month.
Kokshetau proudly opened this nationwide series of events as the first host city.
The large-scale event was organized by the Information Security Committee of the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development, in cooperation with the Akimat of the Akmola Region and the regional digitalization department, with the active support of Aqmola Hub.
In their welcoming remarks, Yerjan Zhumabekov, Chief of Staff of the Akmola Region Akimat, and Talgat Mustagulov, Chairman of the Information Security Committee, emphasized that amid rapid digitalization, ensuring information security and protecting personal data require a comprehensive approach - ranging from technological solutions to enhancing the digital literacy of every citizen.
The business program continued with expert presentations. Key experts from the Information Security Committee, Aidynkhan Kairatov and Dana Mukanbediyeva, alongside Olzhas Kami, Deputy Head of Smart Aqmola, and Aidar Zubandykov, a representative of TSARKA, addressed national cybersecurity, digital hygiene rules, and personal data protection.
The forum concluded with a practical workshop for specialized professionals from local executive bodies and the quasi-public sector, where experts analyzed real-world case studies on responding to cyber incidents.
The event held in Kokshetau provided a strong momentum for the regional Cyber Month, aimed at systematically strengthening digital culture and security across the country.
