On September 14, 2026, the Khoja Ahmed Yasawi School welcomed its first students in the Nurdağı district of Gaziantep Province.

The school was built on the decision of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, following the devastating earthquakes in Türkiye. The project represents Kazakhstan's contribution to the recovery of the affected region and serves as a symbol of solidarity between the brotherly peoples of Kazakhstan and Türkiye.

The event was attended by Chairman of the Board of KazAID Amb. Nurgali Arystanov, Deputy Governor of Gaziantep Province Yakup Kılınçoğlu, representatives of the local community, parents, and students.

During the visit, Amb. Nurgali Arystanov held a bilateral meeting with Yakup Kılınçoğlu. The sides discussed prospects for further interaction and potential areas of cooperation.

For reference: The school is designed for 900 students. Currently, 50 teachers are already working at the educational institution. Necessary modern infrastructure and comfortable conditions have been established to ensure quality education and comprehensive development for the students.
