There is an increase in investments in the Karaganda region. It is expected that by the end of the year the amount will reach 1 trillion tenge. Five significant investment projects have been implemented, and the same number is planned by the end of December. In the Shetsky district, the anchor is the copper cathode production project of Kyzyl Arai Cooper LLP worth 112.5 billion tenge. Its opening will provide about 800 new jobs.
This was announced by Alibek Moldakarimov, Deputy Head of the Department of Industry and Industrial and Innovative Development, at a briefing at the site of the Regional Communications Service.
– According to the results of 10 months, 850 billion tenge of investments in fixed assets were attracted to the region, with an increase of 26.6%. The main share is accounted for by private investments. The positive dynamics is ensured due to investments in industry, – the speaker noted. – Work is actively underway to attract investors for the development of such areas as deep processing of metals, green energy, production of products of the construction industry, mechanical engineering, agriculture. On our part, investment projects are supported at all levels: from the initial cycle to the full launch of production. Over the past three years, more than 2 trillion tenge of investments have been attracted to the region. By the end of 2024, we plan to attract about 1 trillion tenge.
According to him, this year we have held more than 30 meetings with potential investors.
A plant for the production of hot-water gas boilers has opened in Karaganda. Ampoules of polymer fasteners will be produced in Temirtau. The production of polyethylene pipes has been launched in the Saran industrial zone. Shakhterskoye LLP has introduced a seed cleaning line in the Nurinsky district.
Alibek Moldakarimov spoke about the development of industrial sites in the region. In addition to 20 residents, four new participants have been registered at the Saryarka SEZ this year. There are 14 projects under implementation. The explosives production project is scheduled to be completed this year.
As announced at the briefing, residents FROM Saran have already invested 200 billion tenge of investments, 4 thousand new jobs have been created. Since the beginning of the year, enterprises at this site have produced 140 thousand car tires, 1062 buses, 118 thousand units of household appliances. In the near future, it is planned to implement new projects: for the production of galvanized metal products, steel straight-seam pipes.
Small industrial zones are being created in the region. The briefing provides an example of the revival of the site of the Novo-Karaganda Machine-building plant in the regional center. Eight enterprises have set up their workshops on this territory. Construction materials, mechanical engineering and chemical products are produced.
In 10 months, industrial products worth 3.2 trillion tenge were produced in the region, with an increase of 11.3%. Stable development is noted in the manufacturing sector.
