Karaganda surdothekwondo athletes won silver and four bronze medals at international competitions

Karaganda surdothekwondists successfully perform at the X Asia-Pacific Games. They have five medals in their piggy bank – silver and four bronzes.
International competitions are held in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. About 1,300 athletes with hearing impairment from 24 countries participate in them. They compete in 10 sports. The national team of Kazakhstan is represented by 80 deaf athletes who take part in competitions in athletics, taekwondo, judo, freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling, badminton, chess and table tennis.
The national team consisted of five deafthekwondo athletes from the Karaganda region. And all of them have already won awards. Aizhamol Abdikatova took silver, Ayan Abdrash, Viktor Frundin, Nurdaulet Zhakyp and Aida Makatova became bronze medalists at the Asia-Pacific Games.
