As part of a working trip to Italy, Akim of the region Nurlybek Nalibayev met with investors in Rome.
The first meeting was held with Vittorio Maiorana, Vice-president of the Confindustria Association, during which N.Nalibayev noted that the region is ready to work together in the processing industry.
The head of the region noted that if the association has companies focused on expanding and placing business in Kazakhstan, as well as entering new markets, the regional leadership is ready to work together.
– We are ready to cooperate in such sectors of our region as deep processing of agricultural products, production of building materials, goods necessary for oil production, construction of greenhouses, mechanical engineering, processing of hides and wool, N.Nalibayev stressed. – If partners are needed, then we have the necessary entrepreneurs in the region. We will provide all necessary support. We are ready to allocate land plots to each investor within the framework of the current legislation and help with the preparation of documents for obtaining financial assistance from Kazakhstani development institutions. Along with this, we have the opportunity to provide financial assistance in the implementation of projects through the Baikonur Social and entrepreneurial Corporation.
The head of the region also met with the head of the SGM Italia company, which manufactures products for clinical diagnostics and medical equipment. During the meeting, the main direction for attracting investments in medicine was developed. In particular, the issue of opening the production of biochemical solutions and reagents in the Kyzylorda region was discussed. It is worth noting that in our region there are a number of large laboratories working with such materials. In particular, there are 18 branches of the Olymp laboratory and 20 branches of the Invivo laboratory. They are actively engaged in clinical diagnostics and therefore they need high-quality reagents.
Next, N.Nalibayev met with the president of the export credit agency "Sace" Filipo Jansate. Attractive projects in agriculture, light industry, healthcare, construction, transport and logistics, infrastructure development, production of goods for the oil industry and others were proposed at the meeting.
It should be noted that on October 29, at the ninth meeting of the working group on cooperation between the two countries, the Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC and the Italian Institute for National Development CDP signed a loan agreement for 200 million euros.
The financing of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan will be carried out by providing a guarantee from the export credit agency Sace. These funds will be directed to the main areas of the economy that contribute to the stable development of the country.
The Governor of the region met with Fabrizio Fabbri, head of the Ansaldo Energe company, and discussed projects for the development of the region's energy infrastructure. In this direction, as you know, the Turkish company Aksa Energy is building a new 240 MW thermal power plant in Kyzylorda. It is worth recalling that during the working visit of the Head of State to Qatar in February this year, a number of important documents were signed. One of them is the construction of a combined–cycle gas power plant with a capacity of 1100 MW in the Kyzylorda region. The project implementation period is 2024-2029. It is also planned to carry out new power transmission lines in the directions "Kyzylorda – Shymkent" and "Kyzylorda – Zhezkazgan".
Following the meetings, N.Nalibayev invited investors to pay a special visit to our region.
