The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan has prepared a draft order of the head of the department, providing for the approval of 8 new professional holidays. The document is posted on the Open NPAs portal for public discussion until December 23, 2024
The draft order of the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On amendments to the order of the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated June 29, 2023 No. 258 "On approval of the list of professional holidays" provides for the addition of the list of professional holidays with the following dates:
– Day of financial monitoring bodies – January 28;
– Maritime and River Transport Workers' Day – the first Sunday in July;
– Railway Transport Day – the first Sunday in August;
– Workers' Day in the field of instrumentation and automation – the second Sunday in September;
– day of workers of technical and vocational, post–secondary education of the Republic of Kazakhstan - October 2;
– Motor Transport Workers' Day – the last Sunday in October;
– Accounting and Auditing Workers' Day – November 10;
– the day of the penal enforcement system is December 13.
In addition, it is planned to exclude the National Press Day and Radio Day from the specified list due to the fact that these holidays were approved by the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated August 16, 2024 No. 668.
Proposals on the introduction of new professional holidays were initiated by the authorized state bodies of the relevant fields of activity.
