On December 5 this year, the 42nd meeting of the Berlin Eurasian Club (BEC) was held in Berlin (Germany) on the topic "Current financial instruments for the development of economic relations between Kazakhstan and Germany".
Gerlind Heckmann, Head of the Department for the Promotion and Financing of Foreign Trade at the Federal Ministry of Economy and Climate Protection of Germany, stressed at the BECK meeting that the German government is interested in expanding economic relations with Kazakhstan. In particular, she noted a number of new tools introduced to support German business, which are designed, among other things, to assist in the implementation of projects in Kazakhstan.
In September 2024, the Ministry of Economy and Climate Protection of Germany announced the launch of the German Raw Materials Fund, designed to provide additional support to German companies in the implementation of projects for the extraction and processing of resources.
Vice Minister of Industry and Construction Olzhas Saparbekov, who delivered the main report, gave an overview of the large-scale modernization of industrial potential in Kazakhstan and relevant business incentive programs.
The participants of the podium discussion discussed the specific support mechanisms implemented by the governments and development institutions of the two countries and the prospects for their further improvement.
The meeting was attended by about 100 representatives of political and business circles, business associations and associations, and the expert community.
Thanks to such events, business cooperation between the two countries continues to develop at an increased pace.
