Memorial events are being held everywhere to commemorate the day of the lifting of the blockade of Leningrad, defended by thousands of Kazakhstanis.
Among them is sniper Aliya Moldagulova, who died heroically during the Leningrad-Novgorod operation on January 14, 1944.
In Aktobe, servicemen of the Air Defense Forces Military Institute, accompanied by a guard of honor, laid wreaths at the memorial complex of Hero of the Soviet Union Aliya Moldagulova.
On the city square of the Krasnogvardeysky district of St. Petersburg, Kazakh cadets of a military university remembered sniper Aliya Moldagulova. Future officers laid wreaths at the bronze sculptural composition, which was unveiled on Batyr Street in the city of Neva in 2019.
The participants of the event paid tribute to the participants of the Great Patriotic War who gave their lives for the cause of Victory.
