On April 5, 2025, changes to the law on the digitalization of road safety will come into force. In particular, mopeds will be equated with mechanical vehicles, requiring their registration and drivers to obtain a driver's license.

The Aktobe region Police Department advises residents to take care of the issues of registering mopeds and obtaining a driver's license now, without leaving it until the last days.

To register mopeds, you must contact a special PSC.

Required documents:
• Identity card (can be presented electronically);
• Technical document or information on the technical characteristics of the moped;
• Application fill out; • Pass a moped inspection; • Pay state duty for registration: 0.25 AEK (983 tenge) for registering a moped, 1.25 AEK (4,915 tenge) for issuing a registration certificate, and 1.4 AEK (5,505 tenge) for obtaining a state license plate.
