Cozy schools, spreading the best educational practices, will become support schools for all secondary educational institutions of Kazakhstan. Thus, high-quality education will be implemented in all educational institutions of the country in stages, the press service of the Ministry of Education reports.
Within the framework of the "Cozy School" national project, it is planned to build 217 modern schools with a capacity of 460 thousand places by the end of 2025, of which 105 schools will be built in 2024.
The "Cozy School" national project is aimed at providing children with the opportunity to receive free education that meets modern requirements, regardless of their place of residence.
The initiative will not only improve the material and technical base of cozy schools, but also create an environment that will contribute to the development of children's creative and intellectual abilities.
"Cozy schools are 15-20% larger in size than typical schools, and their technical equipment is 4 times better. The schools will have robotics labs, STEM laboratories, choreography halls, co-working areas, 3-4 gyms, and special open areas will be equipped for initial military training. Primary and high school students will study in separate blocks. The main comfort in comfortable schools is the creation of ergonomic space,” says Zhaiyk Maksutov, head of the Department of Infrastructure Development of the Ministry of Education.
Special attention is paid to inclusive education in comfortable schools. Spacious classrooms with separate bathrooms are provided for children with special educational needs. In addition, the schools have elevators, ramps, special signs, and offices for psychologists, speech therapists, and defectologists.
The peculiarity of a comfortable school is that in each block you can see recreation areas for students and teachers. There are upholstered furniture, books, musical instruments and board games.
Schools are also equipped with modern video surveillance and access control systems.
The national project opens up new opportunities for the development of the country's education system, creating conditions for each student to receive a full education, develop creatively and as a person.
