Minister of Transport Marat Karabayev announced at a government meeting that 13 thousand kilometers of roads are planned to be repaired in 2025. Of these, 9.5 thousand kilometers have been provided with the necessary funds, and the issue of financing the rest is being worked out.
In addition, by order of the Head of State, it is planned to renovate 3 thousand kilometers of roads by transferring them to the first and second categories by 2029. This will give a new impetus to the development of the industry and the country's economy.
Roads that have not been repaired for 30-50 years, Petropavlovsk - Zhezkazgan (703 km), Kandyagash - Shalkar (246 km), Zhanaozen - gr. Turkmenistan (156 km), Karaganda - Ayagoz - Bugaz (452 ​​km) will undergo complete repair.
