The Ministry of Energy, together with Kazakhtelecom JSC (Single Operator), conducted a pilot project on labeling and tracking motor oils with identification means for the period from February 1, 2024 to February 1, 2025.
As part of the pilot project, experiments were conducted on attaching identification means to products of domestic manufacturers, importers, wholesalers and retailers of motor oils. Pilot project participants had the opportunity to test the integration of the labeling system into their production processes.
Labeling motor oils allows consumers to improve the transparency and reliability of information about the origin of motor oils, increases the effectiveness of product circulation control, contributes to combating counterfeit product circulation, improving product quality and safety and protecting consumer rights, and also contributes to the development of domestic production and increasing the competitiveness of the motor oil industry.
