On February 4, 2025, a meeting of the Sectoral Council on Professional Qualification in the Electric Power and Heat Power Sectors was held.
The meeting was opened by the Vice Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Deputy Chairman of the Sectoral Council on Professional Qualification in the Electric Power and Heat Power Sectors, Yesimkhanov Sungat Kuatovich.
Sungat Kuatovich noted the importance of the topics discussed for the development and improvement of professional qualifications in the electric power and heat power sectors of Kazakhstan.
As a result of the vote of the members of the Sectoral Council, Alisher Abuuly Kurbanaliyev was elected as the new Chairman of the Sectoral Council.
Alisher Abuuly is the Deputy Chairman of the Association of Legal Entities "Kazakhstan Electric Power Association" and has extensive experience in the energy sector of Kazakhstan, which will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the work of the Sectoral Council.
Also, at the meeting, the members of the Sectoral Council discussed and agreed on the work plan of the Sectoral Council for
2025.
In conclusion 10 draft professional standards in the field of electric power and thermal power were discussed and agreed upon with the members of the Industry Council.
