The modernization of engineering infrastructure is actively underway in Almaty, this was reported by the city Department of Energy and Water Supply.
So, in 9 months of this year, 219 km of new water supply and sanitation networks were built, 27.3 km of existing networks were modernized. In 2025, it is planned to build another 260 km and modernize 87 km of networks.
In the field of electricity supply, 66 km of networks were reconstructed from January to September this year. In 2025, another 123 km will be reconstructed. A scheme has also been developed for the development of the electric networks of the city of Almaty until 2030 with a perspective until 2040.
To ensure high-quality heat supply in Almaty, 20 km of networks have been reconstructed. Reconstruction of 4 and repair of 81 boiler houses of ATKE LLP has been completed. This made it possible to reduce network wear from 57.9% to 56.1%.
The heating season in 2024 was started on October 7, and 100% readiness was ensured. 140% of coal and 100% of fuel oil have been accumulated for the current heating season. In total, 404 educational facilities, 128 healthcare facilities and 8,863 residential buildings are covered.
Thus, the measures taken will make it possible in 2025 to reduce the wear of water supply networks to 53.5%, wastewater disposal to 55.2%, and electricity supply to 64%.
