In 2024, the financing of applied science was increased to 489.2 billion tenge.
On December 1, 2023, the Ministry, together with Otbasy Bank JSC, launched a loan program for young scientists, within the framework of which 290 apartments were issued.
The official salaries of employees of scientific organizations have been increased by 18%, and from January 2025 another increase of 17% will be made.
This year, 2,297 scientific projects, 162 scientific and technical programs, and 134 commercialization projects are being implemented. 1055 scientific projects are being implemented by young scientists.
Kazakhstan is actively developing the commercialization of scientific research. More than 97 billion tenge was received within the framework of scientific and technical activity competitions, and the export of scientific products amounted to 571 million tenge. In 2025, a program will be launched to support technology startups, which will open up new opportunities for entrepreneurs.
