As part of the Pilot Project in Astana, over 600 thousand patients who visited medical organizations were identified through digital services Face ID and "Digital Document".
Today, more than 60 medical organizations are involved in the pilot project, in which more than 2.5 thousand medical specialists identify patients daily at the doctor's appointment.
At the beginning of December, the total number of appointments in medical organizations of the capital amounted to 1,157,231, while 612 thousand identifications were carried out, of which over 300,000 using Face ID technology, 311 thousand through the Digital Document service.
Since September 11 of this year, the "Face ID" technology has been added to the functionality of medical information systems, which provides the ability to identify a patient using a webcam.
It is expected that this mechanism of biometric confirmation of the provision of medical services to patients will become an effective tool in combating the risk of falsifications and attributions in the healthcare system.
Starting in January 2025, the Project is planned to be scaled up in stages throughout the country.
