The second Qatar-Kazakhstan Investment Round Table was held in Doha today, with the participation of representatives of government organizations and the business community of Kazakhstan and Qatar.
During the event, the participants discussed issues of cooperation between the business communities of the two countries in the oil, gas and gas chemical industries.
To date, a number of projects are being implemented jointly with Qatari investors, including the construction of two gas processing plants with a capacity of 1 billion m3 and 2.5 billion m3 per year, the construction of a new compressor station KS-14 and the main gas pipeline KS-14-Kostanay-Aktobe, as well as the second line of the main gas pipeline Beineu-Bozoi-Shymkent".
"Qatar, being a world leader in the gas industry, is of strategic interest to us. I am sure that your market is extremely important for our companies, as cooperation with Qatari partners will allow them to gain invaluable practical experience and open up opportunities for joint ventures. These qualified companies will continue to play a key role in the development of the Kazakh gas industry," the Vice Minister noted.
Also, within the framework of the round table, a Roadmap was signed between the Ministry of Energy and UCC Concession, Infrastructure, Oil & Gas in several areas, such as an Investment Agreement, a Capacity Market Agreement and an Electricity Purchase and Sale Agreement.
