In Astana, at the site of the III National Congress of Respiratory Medicine, which was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Health, leading industry experts discussed modern approaches to the treatment of lung diseases, asthma and COPD, issues of allergology in respiratory medicine, the problem of antibiotic resistance in pulmonology and many other relevant topics.
Everyone who breathes is vulnerable to infectious and toxic substances in the air. Respiratory diseases are the 3rd cause of death in all regions of the globe, and in all social classes.
The first symposium within the framework of the forum was devoted to organizational and strategic issues of the development of respiratory medicine. At this session, issues of shortage of specialized specialists in the regions, access to modern equipment and technologies were raised. There was also an initiative on the need to organize Competence Centers on the basis of.
The participants of the Congress raised the topics of obstructive pulmonary diseases, respiratory support for respiratory failure, sleep-dependent respiratory disorders. Much attention is paid to the problems of respiratory infections, in particular, respiratory infections in children.
It was emphasized here that the main tool for containing vaccine-controlled infections is vaccination and it is necessary to strengthen its control in order to prevent an increase in the mortality rate among children with respiratory infections.
The symposium "Antibiotic resistance in pulmonology: risks, problems" discussed measures that can improve control over the spread of superbugs: the use of rational antibiotic therapy, regular monitoring of resistant strains and the introduction of educational programs for medical professionals.
The Congress was attended by leading experts in the field of respiratory medicine, including representatives of the European Respiratory Society (ERS) and the Russian Respiratory Society, Uzbekistan and Belarus.
Ainabekova B.A., President of the Congress, MD, Professor, Head of the Department of Internal Medicine with courses in Gastroenterology, Endocrinology and Pulmonology of the National Academy of Sciences "Astana Medical University" addressed the participants of the congress with a welcoming speech. She stressed the importance of integrating ideas and cooperation in the field of respiratory medicine to improve the quality of medical care to the population.
An important event was the visit to the Congress of the President of the European Respiratory Society (ERS), a leading expert in the field of respiratory medicine, known for her achievements in scientific research and clinical practice, Joanna Chorostowska-Wynimko.
