A solemn event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the maslikhats of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held in Kokshetau. Akim of Akmola region Marat Akhmetzhanov, deputies of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, deputies of regional and city maslikhats, as well as veterans and public figures took part in the celebration.
In his welcoming speech, the governor of the region noted the importance of the work of maslikhats, emphasizing their contribution to the development of local government and the socio-economic prosperity of the region.
"The people's deputies have made and continue to make a significant contribution to solving the urgent problems of the region, defending the interests of their voters. Maslikhats, together with government agencies, effectively solve tasks that contribute to improving the lives of the population, increasing their well-being and ensuring transparency of decisions," Marat Akhmetzhanov stressed.
At the solemn meeting, Deputy of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Talgat Zhunusov read a congratulatory letter from Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbayev.
Within the framework of the event, a number of deputies who contributed to the development of local self-government, improving the socio-economic life of the population and solving key issues of the region were awarded the jubilee medal "Kazakhstan Maslikhattaryna 30 zhyl", certificates of honor and letters of thanks from the Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the badge "Kurmetti deputy", as well as letters of thanks from the akim of the region.
The end of the celebration was the performance of the artists of the Akmola Regional Philharmonic.
