In Astana, the price index for socially important food products amounted to 99.7% last week. There is a decrease in prices for a number of key products such as horns, buckwheat, rice, cabbage, sugar and cottage cheese.
In order to stabilize vegetable prices in the off-season, forward contracts were signed in Astana with large producers of Pavlodar and Turkestan regions for the supply of about 14 thousand tons of vegetables. These measures will help ensure an uninterrupted supply of the capital and minimize possible price fluctuations for this product.
It is worth noting that according to the Bureau of National Statistics, prices for some types of vegetables in Astana remain among the lowest in the country compared to other regions.
In addition, contracts have been signed for the supply of 100 tons of butter and 528 tons of flour, which are sold in the city's retail facilities at fixed prices.
The main purpose of the events is to control the rise in prices on the food market and ensure the availability of basic goods for residents of the city.
In order to ensure compliance with pricing policy and legislation, the Department of Trade and Protection of Rights is constantly monitored in conjunction with the MIO.
