On Saturday and Sunday, the capital hosted the "Sogym Fest" fair. During the event, residents of the city bought more than 100 tons of smoke. The fair was visited by Chairman of the Trade Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aidar Abildabekov. Farmers from Akmola, Abai and Pavlodar regions took part in the fair.
At the fair, a kilogram of beef was sold for 2300 tenge, mutton and horse meat — for 2300-2500 tenge. "Sogym Fest" will be held every Saturday and Sunday at the Koktal trading house in Astana. In addition to meat, other food products are also sold at the fair.
"Such fairs are an important tool to curb the rise in food prices, especially before the holidays. It also helps to preserve traditional forms of trade, which are part of our culture," said Aidar Abildabekov, Chairman of the Trade Committee.
In general, according to the schedule of local akimats, about 400 fairs of various levels are planned to be held in December. Here, residents can purchase goods directly from manufacturers, without intermediaries.
