In order to develop the tourism services market, the member States, together with the Eurasian Economic Commission, have developed maps of joint Eurasian tourist routes of the EAEU member States.
When developing maps of joint tourist routes, the potential of the tourism industry of each EAEU member state is shown, including natural potential, unique tourist sites, etc.
The maps are based on the proposals of the member States and include information on 419 Eurasian tourist sites, 38 routes and modes of transportation.
For example, a route has been developed that runs through the territories of all participating countries: Kyrgyz Republic (Bishkek-Tokmak) – Republic of Kazakhstan (Almaty) – Russian Federation (Moscow) – Republic of Belarus (Minsk-Zhodino-Mir-Nesvizh) – Republic of Armenia (Yerevan).
The geographical feature and historical value of the Republic of Kazakhstan have led to the fact that more than 50% of the recommended routes pass through our country.
The multiplier effect of the development of tourist routes of the EAEU countries will be to assist in increasing the flow of domestic tourists and tourists from third countries, the dynamic development of the industry, additional impetus to economic sectors associated with tourism, including hospitality, transport, medicine, agriculture, etc.
In the future, countries will be able to make proposals for the subsequent updating of the map. This document was adopted by the EEC Board on November 12 this year.
