On December 13, a citywide environmental action was held in Shymkent within the framework of the republican program "Taza Kazakhstan". The purpose of the large–scale event is not only to clean up the territories, but also to draw the attention of citizens to the need to take care of the environment.
The event was attended by employees of city organizations, representatives of educational institutions, volunteers and concerned residents. In total, more than 2,000 people and 75 units of specialized equipment were involved. As a result of the cleaning, over 300 tons of garbage were collected and removed.
Special attention was paid to cleaning the central streets, parks, squares and surrounding areas. Green spaces were put in order, public spaces were cleaned and landscaped.
As part of the campaign, clean-up days, flash mobs and challenges were held in every district of the city, aimed at forming an ecological culture and popularizing respect for nature.
In the "Yntymak-3" microdistrict, residents together with volunteers cleaned the territory near the Aluminum Gold enterprise.
"Ecology is our common concern. Only through joint efforts can we leave our children and grandchildren a clean city," said Ulykpan Bashenov, Chairman of the Veterans Council of the district.
The central streets of the Saule microdistrict have become a place for a large-scale clean-up. Chairman of the city Council of Veterans Kenzhehan Tolebayev and activist Kayyrzhan Bogenbai urged residents to take care of the environment.
On Kaltaev Street along the railway, residents and volunteers of the Zhasyl El headquarters cleared the territory of garbage. The head of the regional council of veterans, Zulpikhar Jaishybekov, noted the importance of such actions for the formation of environmental awareness.
In the Nursat microdistrict on Izmir Street, volunteers and young people organized a Clean Street campaign. Deputy Chairman of the regional Council of Veterans Perdesh Esenbek and coordinator of the Zhasyl El headquarters Nurlyislam Kuanysh noted the importance of an environmentally friendly lifestyle.
"A clean environment is the key to health and well—being. We are setting an example for the young," said Perdes Esenbek.
On the Avenue of the Republic, together with residents and youth, the Zhasyl El detachment was putting things in order. The head of the Veterans Council of the district, Adilbek Satybaldy, stressed the importance of preserving natural resources for future generations.
"The Taza Kazakhstan campaign has already become a good tradition that unites people and gives them the opportunity to take care of nature and their city," said one of the participants of the event, a representative of the volunteer movement.
The campaign also included inspections of the sanitary condition of districts and urban infrastructure facilities. Responsible specialists conducted raids, issued warnings to owners of facilities that violate the rules of landscaping, and instructed them to eliminate deficiencies as soon as possible.
The environmental program "Taza Kazakhstan" continues and attracts more and more supporters who are ready to contribute to improving the environmental situation in the city.
