THIS YEAR, KAZAKHSTANIS RECEIVED MORE THAN 1 MILLION EXPENSIVE STUDIES AT THE EXPENSE OF THE OSMS
14.12.2024 05:12:48 1689Since the beginning of the year, Kazakhstanis have received over 1 million expensive examinations, such as computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), which were provided at the expense of the compulsory social health insurance system (OSMS).
MRI and CT are important diagnostic methods that help identify various diseases and pathologies at an early stage, as well as assess the condition of organs and tissues.
Of the 500,000 patients who were provided with these services, 45,000 underwent tests for suspected oncological diseases.
This year, the number of investigations has increased by 31.2 thousand compared to the same period last year.
If there are medical indications and insurance status, the above diagnostic methods are available to patients free of charge.
The MSHI system allows citizens of the country to access expensive medical services, reducing the financial burden on patients and increasing the availability of high-quality medical care.
