PROSPECTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF DIGITAL HEALTHCARE WITH THE INVOLVEMENT OF SWEDISH EXPERIENCE WERE DISCUSSED IN ASTANA

In Astana, during the round table on the topic "Transformation of healthcare based on medical data. Prospects for Sweden and Kazakhstan: the role of medical data and medical registers in research and innovation in public health" with the participation of Vice Minister of Health Erlan Ospanov, the possibilities of attracting Swedish experience and providing advisory and expert assistance in the field of digital technologies in healthcare were discussed.
"In his September Address, the Head of State set the task of creating a unified state medical information system, which should ensure end-to-end control and objectivity of data for all healthcare organizations, regardless of their form of ownership. In this regard, the Ministry is implementing 6 key projects, including the modernization of the resource management information system, the improvement of medical information systems, the full integration of health information systems, the introduction of a single repository of medical data," Vice Minister of Health Yerlan Ospanov said in his welcoming speech to the forum participants.
In addition, the agency continues systematic work to improve the digital infrastructure, which allows reducing the burden on medical personnel by optimizing the MIS, making the provision of medical services more convenient and effective for the doctor and the patient. Digital identification of patients has been introduced in the pilot project, aimed at preventing attribution of medical services, and the distribution of free medicines through the Social Wallet service is also successfully progressing.
"Over the past few years, we have seen the growth of our partnership with Kazakhstan. The Ministry of Health, its relevant departments, the Social Health Insurance Fund, medical faculties of leading Kazakhstani universities have actively participated in our seminars and master classes in recent years. We consider this an important step forward. Together with the Kazakh and Swedish authorities, as well as the Swedish government, through Business Sweden and the Swedish Embassy, we strive to develop our partnership in all these areas. Special attention is paid to today's topic — artificial intelligence and health data collection to improve medical care for patients in Kazakhstan and Sweden," said Eva Pulano, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Sweden to Kazakhstan.
The participants of the round table discussed various aspects of cooperation in the field of digitalization of healthcare, access to modern treatment methods for our citizens, the development of pharmacy, exchange of experience, strengthening primary health care and improving the quality of medical care.
Following the event, the Kazakh side expressed interest in attracting Swedish experience and providing advisory and expert assistance in the field of digital technologies in healthcare.
