On the eve of Independence Day, a new school for 400 places was put into operation in Uralsk. Akim of the region Nariman Toregaliyev took part in the grand opening of School No. 31 in the city, congratulating the school staff, students and parents on the launch of the new educational institution.
"One of the main tasks set by the head of state is to create conditions for high – quality education of the younger generation. In this direction, new schools are being built in the region, major repairs of educational centers are being carried out. Over the past two years, 22 new secondary schools have been built in the West Kazakhstan region. In particular, in 2023, the construction of 16 new schools will be completed and put into operation, and in 2024, 6 new schools will be built and completed. At the same time, the construction of 6 schools within the framework of the" comfortable school" project will continue in 2025, " Nariman Turegaliyev said.
The newly built four-story educational institution is equipped with modern equipment. With a total area of 17,271 square meters, the school has one gym, assembly hall, library, dining room, nurse's room workshops. Touch screens are installed in the classrooms, and high-speed internet access is provided. Classrooms are provided with modern computers and interactive whiteboards. In addition, conditions have been created for children with disabilities: there are ramps, an elevator, a special toilet and an inclusive education room.
There are also football, basketball and volleyball courts on the territory of the school.
"Today is a very happy day. We are glad that the construction of School No. 31 has been completed. For our children, new knowledge of the modern model has been put into practice. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the head of state and all those involved in the construction work. I hope that our children will become the pride of our country in the future and will contribute to the development of our state with their knowledge," parent Gulnar Kazhimova said.
