The day before, the results of the II Republican Olympiad for rural schoolchildren in social and humanitarian subjects were summed up. 450 students from the most remote corners of the country took part in the final stage.
According to the results of the three-day intellectual competitions, 197 schoolchildren became prize-winners, who demonstrated a high level of knowledge. Of these, 36 winners are holders of gold medals, 65 silver and 96 bronze.
"Together with his peers, he took part in the Russian language Olympiad for schools with the Kazakh language of instruction. The Olympics left me with vivid impressions and instilled confidence in my own strength. Moreover, I not only tested my knowledge, but also met talented peers from all over the country. This is a great opportunity for schoolchildren from rural areas to test themselves, gain experience and see how the republican level competitions are held. I want to thank the state and all the organizers for this wonderful opportunity," said Yeryaz Yerlanuly, a student of the 11th grade of the Markakol district of the East Kazakhstan region.
The national team of Almaty region was awarded with diplomas of the I degree in the nomination "The best Olympic team", diplomas of the II degree of Turkestan, Atyrau and Mangystau regions, diplomas of the III degree of the team of Kyzylorda, North Kazakhstan, Kostanay, West Kazakhstan regions.
Seven winners received rector's grants from the country's leading universities (SDU - 4, Yassavi International University - 3).
The Republican Olympiad is held in three stages in 13 subjects. 99,264 students participated in the school stage this year, of which 53,593 passed to the district level. The regional stage brought together 12,000 schoolchildren, and about 1,000 participants reached the final. 450 schoolchildren competed in the social and humanitarian field, and 486 in the natural sciences and mathematics. In total, 418 prize-winners received awards in two directions.
All participants of the final stage are enrolled in the Republican correspondence School "Daryn", which will prepare them for the next intellectual competitions. And holders of I degree diplomas will be able to take part in the final stage of the Republican Olympiad in general education subjects
