The Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation has implemented a number of measures this year to increase the attractiveness of the water sector. For example, the Bolashak program includes water specialties. Thus, Kazakhstani students have the opportunity to study them abroad.
"Attracting new personnel to the water sector and improving the skills of water industry specialists is one of the main directions of the Ministry's work. This year, the department signed memorandums of cooperation with 9 universities. As a result, 80 students completed practical training in the branches of Kazvodkhoz. In addition, work is underway to develop joint programs of double–degree education with foreign universities," said Muslim Zhienbayev, Director of the Department of Science and Innovation of the Ministry.
