Today, as part of his trip to the Abai region, Minister of Industry and Construction Kanat Sharlapayev visited a number of construction and industrial facilities.
First of all, the Minister got acquainted with the apartment buildings built in the Karagaily neighborhood of Semey. These are 9-storey 2-entrance houses made of silicate bricks.
This year, the region faces the task of commissioning housing in the amount of 404.7 thousand square meters.m., which will allow 3.8 thousand families to improve their living conditions. According to the akimat, 1.8 billion tenge has been disbursed. Additionally, 12.5 billion tenge is provided for the purchase of 790 rental apartments with the right of purchase for socially vulnerable segments of the population.
Next, Kanat Sharlapaev visited EIKOS LLP. The company is engaged in tire recycling and is also one of the largest suppliers of tire products. This year, the project "Phased construction of a complex for the processing of waste generated during the operation of motor transport with the release of finished products" is being implemented. The planned capacity is 5.7 thousand tons of used tires. The project cost is 2.3 billion tenge, and 100 new jobs will also be created.
The Minister visited Semipalatinsk Shoe Factory LLP. The manufactured products are protective footwear for various industries and footwear for law enforcement agencies and the military using natural and artificial leather. The company sells them through the public procurement system and on orders. The production capacity is 150,000 pairs per year, and the factory employs 125 people.
Kanat Sharlapayev also got acquainted with the activities of PK Semey Cement Plant LLP. The company was established on the basis of the Semipalatinsk Cement Plant, the first production line of which was commissioned in 1958. The main activity is the production and sale of cement, limestone, clay, groundwater, and vitrofyra mining. In January-November 2024, the production volume amounted to 1 million tons of cement, which is 7.4% more than in the corresponding period last year.
In the Abai region, work is actively underway to develop the manufacturing industry, and one of the key areas is the production of Portland cement. The company holds a significant share in this segment.
The Minister visited Semey Sewing Factory LLP. The plant is engaged in the processing of toll-free raw materials for further processing and production of products on request. The company produces special, medical and professional clothing. The production capacity is 12,000 units per month. At the end of December 2024, it is planned to launch a new sewing workshop with the purchase of new technological sewing equipment.
After that, Kanat Sharlapayev visited Kazpoligraf LLP. The plant is engaged in the production of paper and cardboard products. Kazpoligraf is one of the largest manufacturers of a wide range of packaging materials in Central Asia.
Kazpoligraf carries out a full cycle of packaging production from design to product delivery to the customer. To date, the Unified Industrialization Map includes a project to launch a new production line for the production of cardboard packaging for liquid products (Pure-Pak). The launch is planned for the 1st quarter of 2025. The project cost is 6 billion tenge.
Kanat Sharlapayev got acquainted with the activities of JSC Semipalatinsk Machine-Building Plant. The company produces polyethylene pipes, spare parts for wagons, fire extinguishers, etc. Among them are the GT-TB tracked tractor transporter and spare parts for them, rolling stock components, trailed vehicles, engines for special equipment, rigging kits for armored vehicles. In addition, the plant plans to implement a project for the assembly of freight wagons.
