In Petropavlovsk a teleconference was held with the participation of 300 students 14.05.2026
In Petropavlovsk, a preventive meeting was held with the participation of 300 college students from across the city. Representatives of the Department of criminally-executive system, the Police Department, and the Regional Prosecutor’s Office took part in the event.During the meeting, participants discussed issues of legal responsibility, crime prevention, and the promotion of law-abiding behavior among young people.Students were informed about the consequences of fraud, hooliganism, and drug trafficking. Fragments of the documentary film “Dead Drops. Retribution” were also shown. The Public Council on Public Finance discussed the results of the work of the appeal commissions and the draft law on appraisal activities 14.05.2026
At the latest meeting of the Public Council under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, participants reviewed the activities of the appeals departments and discussed amendments to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Valuation Activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan.”The discussion was attended by the chairperson, members of the Public Council, and heads of the Ministry’s departments.During the meeting, the commission reviewed the performance results of the Internal Government Audit Appeals Department for 2025. Over the reporting period, 100 meetings were held, during which 621 objections regarding desk audits and 139 objections to audit reports were reviewed.It was noted that the commission’s work focuses primarily on ensuring an objective and transparent review of appeals and objections from audited entities, as well as on reducing the number of legal disputes. By the end of the year, most disputed issues had been resolved at the pre-trial stage, which made it possible to restore the rights of individuals and legal entities in 229 cases.Further measures were also discussed regarding the digitization of appeal review processes, the enhancement of the Appeals Commission’s capabilities, and the improvement of the quality of internal government audits.The Director of the Appeals Department presented the results of work on tax and customs disputes for 2024–2025 and the first quarter of 2026. The presentation noted that, to ensure transparency, 1,116 decisions have been posted on the official website of the Ministry of Finance, and an additional 732 decisions have been published on the business community’s online resources “Taxes in Kazakhstan,” “Accounting KZ,” the “PARAGRAF” information system, and the Kazakhstan Association of Customs Brokers (Representatives), while 377 representatives of taxpayers and foreign economic activity participants directly participated in the meetings.As part of a comprehensive set of measures, a list of criteria has been developed to identify invalid transactions for tax audits. In addition, 35 officials have been held accountable for violations committed during tax and customs audits, including 19 auditors, 5 department heads, and 11 division heads. Changes regarding VAT refunds, introduced into the Tax Code as well as the VAT Refund Rules, have also been announced, eliminating discrepancies in the legislation.The meeting also featured a presentation of the draft law “On Amendments and Additions to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan ‘On Valuation Activities’.” The draft law aims to implement the provisions of the General Approaches, ensuring the functioning of a single market for services free of barriers, exemptions, restrictions, additional requirements, and conditions, as well as to further improve legislation on valuation activities.In addition, the draft law contains other amendments regarding the clarification and optimization of provisions to ensure alignment with law enforcement practices, aimed at improving the legislation.The adoption of amendments regarding the establishment of a single market for property appraisal services will create conditions for Kazakhstani appraisers to enter the international market, expand opportunities for professional practice across the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), and enhance the international competitiveness of domestic specialists.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/minfin/press/news/details/1220464?lang=kk
Grand Opening of Kazakhstan-sponsored school in Turkiye 14.05.2026

Requirements for events held in connection with the end of the 2025-2026 academic year 14.05.2026
The Education Department of the East Kazakhstan Region informs about the requirements related to the completion of the academic year. A meeting was held in Astana between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alibek Kuantyrov and the His Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for Eastern Europe and Central Asia David Reed MBE.The discussion focused on prospects for further strengthening Kazakh-British trade, economic and investment partnership, as well as priority items on the agenda of the upcoming meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission.Positive dynamics in bilateral trade and significant potential for its further growth were noted. A seminar on official ethics and anti-corruption was held for civil servants 14.05.2026
On May 13, 2026, an Ethics Commissioner of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the Legal Department, conducted a training seminar for civil servants on compliance with anti-corruption legislation, official ethics, and the prevention of corruption risks. During the seminar, the main requirements for civil servants regarding the conscientious performance of official duties, compliance with restrictions and prohibitions established by law were considered. Special attention was paid to compliance with the principles of legality, the priority of state interests, the prevention of conflicts of interest, and the formation of an anti-corruption culture. Additionally, civil servants were further explained the requirements concerning compliance with the norms of the Ethical Code, behavioral culture during inspections and business trips. Alongside this, employees were reminded of the inadmissibility of discrimination, the need to observe labor discipline and work schedules, and the prohibition on participation in gambling and involvement in the activities of destructive religious movements. Within the framework of the event, emphasis was placed on the importance of the personal responsibility of every civil servant for adhering to the principles of integrity, openness, and zero tolerance for corruption. Violations in the verification of household gas meters were identified in Almaty 14.05.2026
The Department of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology in Almaty conducted an unscheduled inspection of the verification laboratory of the Almaty branch of "AKTOBE GAZ INNOVATION" LLP in Almaty.This unscheduled inspection was conducted based on an appeal from an individual regarding compliance with the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Ensuring the Uniformity of Measurements" (hereinafter referred to as the Law), as well as other regulatory legal acts and normative documents in the field of metrology.During the unscheduled inspection, violations were identified, including Clause 9.1 of ST RK 2.13-2013 "Household Gas Meters. Methods and Means of Verification," Clause 21 of the Rules for Conducting Verification of Measuring Instruments, Establishing the Periodicity of Verification of Measuring Instruments, and the Form of the Certificate of Verification of Measuring Instruments, approved by Order No. 934 of the Minister for Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 27, 2018.Based on the results of the unscheduled inspection, the Almaty branch of "Aktobe Gaz Innovation" LLP was issued an order to cancel the notice of unsuitability for use No. FR-07-56929 dated January 29, 2025, and a protocol on an administrative offense was drawn up under Article 415-1 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Administrative Offenses."In connection with the admission of guilt by the offender, an administrative penalty of 843,375 tenge was imposed with a suspension of activities for six months, and an order was issued to eliminate the identified violations.Currently, the fine has been paid in full.The Department reminds that non-compliance with the rules for conducting verification of measuring instruments, establishing the periodicity of verification of measuring instruments, and the form of the certificate of verification of measuring instruments constitutes a violation of the Law.In case of detection of such violations, citizens are advised to contact the territorial bodies of technical regulation and metrology.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/mti-ktrm/press/news/details/1219947?lang=kk

Micro and small businesses will continue to receive tax support in 2026 14.05.2026
            As part of ongoing efforts to ensure macroeconomic stability, reduce the administrative burden on businesses, and create favorable conditions for entrepreneurial activity, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan has decided to continue implementing measures in 2026 to simplify tax administration for micro and small businesses.       Thus, from January 1 through December 31, 2026, micro and small businesses will not be subject to late payment penalties on taxes and budget payments—including advance and current payments—that are not paid by the deadlines established by tax law.      However, this measure does not apply to taxes withheld at source, excise taxes on imported excisable goods, value-added tax on imported goods, or social security contributions.      It is important to note that late payment penalties for the aforementioned tax period will be assessed after December 31,      2026, in the following cases:     - submission of additional tax returns, including those filed in response to a notice;     - assessment or adjustment of tax and payment amounts by state revenue authorities based on the results of tax administration.      This measure is aimed at further improving tax administration, reducing the administrative burden on businesses, and strengthening the partnership between the government and the business community based on trust and transparency.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/kgd/press/news/details/1219833?lang=kk

Taxation of income of non–resident legal entities in the Republic of Kazakhstan 14.05.2026
The Department of State Revenue for the Mangystau region informs about the taxation procedure for income of non-residents who receive income from sources in the Republic of Kazakhstan.In accordance with paragraph 2 of Article 221 of the Tax Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, non-residents are required to pay taxes on income received from sources in Kazakhstan in accordance with the procedure established by tax legislation.The list of income of non-residents related to income from sources in the Republic of Kazakhstan is defined by Article 679 of the Tax Code.If the activity of a non–resident legal entity in the territory of Kazakhstan does not lead to the formation of a permanent establishment, taxation of such income is carried out in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 72 of the Tax Code.According to Article 683 of the Tax Code, the income of such non-residents is subject to corporate income tax at the source of payment without deductions.The calculation, withholding and transfer of taxes is carried out by a tax agent by applying the rates provided for in Article 682 of the Tax Code.Tax deduction is performed:– no later than the day of payment of income on accrued and actually paid income;– no later than the deadline for submitting a corporate income tax return on accrued but unpaid deductible income.The tax agent is obliged to transfer the withheld tax:– on accrued and paid income no later than 25 calendar days after the end of the month in which the payment was made;– for accrued but unpaid income deducted no later than 10 calendar days after the deadline for submitting the declaration on the CPN;– upon payment of an advance (prepayment) no later than 25 calendar days after the end of the month in which the non-resident's income was accrued within the amount of the advance;– upon delivery of goods, performance of works or provision of services no later than 25 calendar days after the end of the month of accrual of non-resident income within the amount of the corresponding obligations.For certain types of income provided for in subparagraph 39) of paragraph 1 of Article 679 of the Tax Code, there are special payment deadlines established by Article 684 of the Tax Code.The tax agent is required to submit a calculation of the CIT withheld from the source of payment from the income of a non-resident within the following time limits:– for the first, second and third quarters no later than the 15th of the second month following the reporting quarter;– for the fourth quarter no later than March 31 of the year following the reporting tax period.In addition, non-residents who carry out activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan through a structural unit that does not lead to the formation of a permanent establishment are required to submit a CIT declaration at their location within the time limits provided for in Article 359 of the Tax Code.(unofficial translation)Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/kgd-mangistau/press/news/details/1220500?lang=kk

Dear Taxpayers,In order to implement the provisions of paragraph 2 of Article 115 of the Tax Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a new functionality has been launched in the Taxpayer Cabinet of the Information System of Tax Administration (ISNA Taxpayer Cabinet), allowing taxpayers to specify the tax reporting forms subject to submission.Taxpayers (except individuals) are required to specify the tax reporting forms subject to submission in the “Submitted Tax Reporting Forms” service.If regular/initial tax reporting is not submitted within the deadlines established by tax legislation, the information system of the tax authorities will automatically generate tax reporting with zero indicators after the submission deadline expires.At the same time, if a taxpayer has taxable objects and (or) objects related to taxation, they are required to submit additional tax reporting to the automatically generated tax reporting for the respective tax period.The generation of automatic tax reporting will begin from the first tax period of 2026.Instructions for using the functionality are available in the section: Help – Reference Information.To access the new ISNA Taxpayer Cabinet, please follow the link:https://knp.kgd.gov.kzIf you have any questions, you may contact the support service via email:knpsd@ecc.kzSource : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/kgd-almaty/press/news/details/1219598?lang=kk
